Kittens will not leave before 12-14 weeks of age there are NO EXCEPTIONS - This depends on when the spay or neuter is complete

We will place our cats only with people who agree not to declaw Bareenough Sphynx & Lykoi kittens, and will only keep the cats indoors and never cage them.
Door to door service for northern Calif/ Arizona and Las Vegas can be provided. Fees per mile apply.
SHIPPING- I do not ship cargo. I use a courier who will meet you at your closest major airport for $500-$800 anywhere in the US. You pay the courier once she meets you with your kittens.
PICK-UP- You can fly into my nearest airport (Ontario, California) and I will meet you there with your kitten. Remember the airlines charge a fee for you to fly back with your kitten and you will need an airline approved carrier.
Care and Maintenance Sphynx maintenance is rather unlike other cats. Sphynx sweat, their skin secretes oils to nourish the non-existent coat, so they need occasional bathing, ear cleaning and you need to keep the area around their eyes clean. Bathing is not a problem-most Sphynx cats don't mind it and they dry quickly. As long as they are fed well and the air temperature is comfortable for you, Sphynx cats are not cold. But they like warmth and are smart enough to find it on your lap or under a blanket. My Sphynx have no problem letting me put on a sweater to keep them warm.
Lykoi need occasional bathing and ear cleaning. Special organics shampoos are sent home with Sphynx and Lykoi kittens unless otherwise indicated (I don't send the shampoos/sprays home with retired breeders or any discounted kittens/cats)
Cattery Visits (NO CATTERY VISITS DUE TO RISK INVOLVED
In this day and age, inviting people into your home can be quite dangerous. There are many anti-breeder and animal rights activists out there, and we do not want to risk the safety of our family or pets. We limit visits as much as possible for several reasons. Breeding is not our job but rather a getaway from our Monday-Friday working lives. Therefore, as you can imagine our time is limited and precious to us. I CAN FACETIME WITH YOU AND PROVIDE VIDEOS OF THE KITTENS :)
We do not provide allergy visits, as each cat/kitten has their own level of dander and you may be allergic to one cat over another. Nor do we allow visits to come pick out a kitten or just to come look at the cats. When you’re asking to visit, our “cattery” you are asking to visit our home, where we live with our family and children.
Visitors are pretty invasive in our daily life and strangers in the house can be extremely stressful for the kittens when they hear and smell things unknown to them, and their mothers who are very protective of their youngsters, especially with strangers. Young kittens are extremely vulnerable to airborne diseases and their mother’s stress. Therefore we limit visitors to people who come pick their kitten up. That doesn’t mean we have anything to hide, it means we take the utmost precautions for our own and our cats and kitten’s sake.

Claws & Paws
Sphynx and Lykoi cats will get dirt between their pads and in the pockets of their claws. They can be cleaned out with a warm wash cloth, baby wipe or alcohol wipe. The cleaning of their paws will need to be done more often and in conjunction with their bath time. Their nails front and back will need to be trimmed every 14 days. In most cats you can see the vein line inside the claw and you must be very careful not to clip on or beyond it. Begin by clipping off just the very tip of the nail until you are confident on how to trim the nails. Never Declaw your cat. Please see the "Anti-Amputation" page.
Soft Paws are recommended to control unwanted scratching.
Sphynx Ears
Sphynx and Lykoi ears are mostly hairless and produce a large amount of earwax. They will need cleaning every 14 days. You can purchase a good ear wash from your vet supply. Use a baby wipe to clean the exposed portion of the ear. You may use a QTip for hard to reach areas... but don't go too deep.
Teeth
The baby teeth of your Sphynx Kitten will normally be stained brown. This is caused by the oils on the mothers skin while kitten is nursing. The brown staining is not from antibiotic use. When the kitten's baby teeth fall out around 4 months of age... their adult teeth normally come in pearly white.
HCM in Cats
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy is a heart disease. It is in ALL breeds of Cats, Dogs, and even Humans. Sadly there is no cure for HCM.
Sometimes it is genetic and sometimes it is not. Some viruses can cause it.. or it can be passed down from a parent who is a carrier. There is no way to determine how a cat developed the heart disease once they have been diagnosed as HCM positive. There are very few physical signs of heart disease until it progresses to a life threatening stage. It is recommended to be proactive and scan your adult cat by a board certified cardiologist. If HCM is discovered proper medication can prolong your cats life. There is no such thing as an HCM free Cattery. If you research pedigrees, and go back far enough, you will find relatives in all lines worldwide that are HCM positive. Responsible Sphynx Breeders Scan their Breeding Cats to lower the odds of producing kittens that can develop heart disease. We love our cats and do everything possible to protect them. But.... Not one breeder can guarantee your kitten will NOT get HCM. We do our best to avoid it but as of today there is no test to see if a cat is a carrier. Hopefully one day soon there will be such a test.
